The Lawrence Soil and Water Conservation District administers the 911 addresses for the unincorporated areas of Lawrence County. It is required by the Ohio Revised Code Chapter 303 that each person have a street address. The addresses are issued based on mileage measurements. The District uses a special instrument in the vehicle to determine the log feet of an address. This number is then plugged into a formula that generates the house number used in your address. These is a $50 fee for this service.
